up at 7 this morning to go to do a tour of a coffee farm...we had seen it done home made style in cuba but this was mass production....

it was really really interesting to see how much work needs to go into the preparation of coffee from its planting stage right to the point of exportation.the process takes about a year in total...it aint as easy as it looks either...

i am now an expert in coffee..the tour was 2 hours in total and in the end we got to taste the guatemalan coffee...i couldnt do it without milk and sugar though...too hard on my stomach...u can taste the difference in quality though...guatemala export 70% of their production to the states...starbucks coffee is a big importer....

we really enjoyed the coffee effect afterwards...it does give u such a boost.

this afternoon we visited a convent which was destroyed by the same earthquake in the 1700s...it was kinda freaky cos they had man made nuns about the place...they looked very real...

we are gettin very religious now..we visited another church in antigua and saw santo hermano pedro who apparently performs miracles to this day for the guatemalans...i tend not to believe that but everyone to their own...

we came back to guatemala at 3 and the girls have now gone to the salon to get their nails done and their hair cut.i on the other hand am in vickys office catching up wit my blog...the salon didnt really tickle my tastebuds...im back to date now and am very happy with that.

we have no plans for this evening so not sure what we are gonna get up to...plans to go to flores for the weekend and visit tikal but i hope to get on the internet again before the end of guatemala...it is so cheap and good here...dont wanna leave....
